When putting together the Media Guide for England's Ashes Tour to Australia we thought it would be a good idea to create the content as an online resource.
The printed guides are very useful but cannot be updated with player profiles and carry no specific information for media opportunities and press conferences which can change rapidly during an event.
Having discussed the concept with the ECB we quickly developed the idea to
encompass the domestic season as well as overseas tours.
The content and site architecture were designed specifically to answer the ECB's requirements, with a bespoke content management system for both ECB and site administrators, with easy to use, templates and modules.
Media Guides for overseas tours are now created as downloadable resources, delivering time and budget efficiencies. It is also a one stop resource for domestic grounds, contacts, logos as well as essential media information and accreditation details for both the domestic season and overseas tours.
The site is currently available to over 2,000 media representatives, nationally
and internationally.
