The ICC's flagship event, the Cricket World Cup, demands high levels of
organisation and presentation across every facet of the event.
One of the audiences is the media. The ICC provides them with all the event
information - media operations, facilities, venues, teams and officials - and needs
this to be organised and delivered in the most appropriate formats.
For the Cricket World Cup 2011 we reviewed the best way of delivering the dense and complex information for this event.
We looked at new ways of designing the media guide content for print but also how we could deliver this information online. The key driver for an online version was the ability to update content. This included a detailed daily schedule of not only matches but also practice sessions and media opportunities. The online version also allowed updates to player changes.
We developed a bespoke content management system so that the ICC could
manage site updates easily and quickly, making updates to daily events, player
changes and adding a daily bulletin download.
